Padraig Birch

Padraig is largely involved in producing graphic design and animation for the variety of digital and print based media services that myApricot offer. He is currently in the process of completing his BA in Creative Media at the Dundalk Institute of Technology. During the time Padraig has spent studying he has acquired many skills in a variety of disciplines, ranging from programming languages, such as ActionScript, HTML and PHP, to cutting edge animation and film techniques.

He has long been interested in the process of visual communication and its refinement to create direct, impactful images with a view to catching the eye and piquing the interest of an audience. This has been recognised through numerous awards for art and design competitions.

His personal work reflects his interest in modernist design movements such as constructivism, but there are often elements within his work that owe their influence to the dadist, punk and psychedelic movements. In effect his skills in producing design solutions are quite diverse, which is an important quality for any graphic artist to possess.
